POLYPROPYLENE MEMBRANES

Interstate Specialty Products die cuts polypropylene membrane filters for sample preparation, liquid and gas filtration, chemical processing, and other applications.

Interstate Specialty Products die cuts polypropylene membrane filters for a wide variety of applications. For over 60 years, we’ve been using precision die cutting to create custom polypropylene membrane filters at our Made in the USA company in Sutton, Massachusetts.

Today, our converting capabilities include cleanroom cutting for medtech, pharmaceutical, and other high-purity applications. Digital knife cutting for reverse osmosis membrane filters is also available.

Die Cut Polypropylene Membrane Filters

Typically, polypropylene (PP) filters are die cut into discs and other shapes from sheets and rolls of PP membrane. Die cut polypropylene membrane filters offer high temperature stability, high chemical resistance, and low extractable levels. They are an excellent choice for filtering aggressive solvents and provide a cost-effective alternative to die cut PTFE membranes for venting applications that must also prevent the ingress of fluids.

Ask Interstate Specialty Products if polypropylene membrane filters are right for your application. Because polypropylene is a pure hydrocarbon, this thermoplastic poses fewer disposal issues than a PVDF membrane with its halogen content. Die cut polypropylene membrane filters are also durable and flexible.

Interstate State Specialty Products can custom cut polypropylene membrane filters that are either hydrophobic or hydrophilic. Polypropylene is inherently hydrophobic, but hydrophilic PP filters are available for screening applications and biological sampling, such as the recovery of proteins.

Uses for PP Membrane Filters

Laboratory applications for custom polypropylene membrane filters include sample preparation, solvent preparation, and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Industrial applications include gas filtration, chemical processing, cabin air filters in automobiles, and the production of photo-resistant materials.
